We are already planning our first route once we get on the road. After our stop in Fl to get our domicile state set up we will be heading to Georgia. Hubby’s sister lives in the Atlanta Metro Area so that look to be our first stop! There are so many things to do in Atlanta, so I want to share some great staycation ideas for those of you in driving distance or will be visiting!

Legoland Discovery Center Atlanta – This place is PERFECT for Lego loves big and small! They have a factory tour, Kingdom Quest Laser Ride, Lego Fire Academy and so much more! For anyone with kids you can easily spend a day here!
Delta Flight Museum – For anyone interested in flight the Delta Museum is a must see. They have many interactive museums, including a flight simulator- the only full-motion “sim” open to the public in the U.S.
Children’s Museum of Atlanta – With hands on exhibits like, Once Upon a Time…Exploring the World of Fairy Tales, Fundamentally Food and more!
Porsche Driving Experience – Do you have a need for speed? Check out this driving experience from Porsche. Pick your car and spend an hour and a half and learn hands-on and fast-paced. For each session, a highly trained Porsche driving coach will guide you along the course as you navigate a tailored environment meant to maximize each particular model’s capabilities.
Atlanta History Center – Located on 33 acres in the heart of historic Buckhead, the Atlanta History Center invites you to explore Georgia’s past through award-winning exhibitions.
Atlanta Rocks – Rock climbing Lover? This place is for you! Tons of different different climb walls and live entertainment!
SkyView Atlanta – Labeled the Best way to see downtown Atlanta is a Ferris Wheel in the middle of downtown that gives you a unique view of the city!
Georgia Aquarium – The Georgia Aquarium is named one of the best in the country. With more than 10 million gallons of fresh and marine water and more aquatic life than found in any other aquarium, you are sure to see things you’ve never seen before!
World of Coca-Cola – The World of Coca-Cola is a permanent exhibition featuring the history of The Coca-Cola Company—including its well-known advertising—as well as a host of entertainment areas and attractions. Learn and explore the Chamber of the Secret Formula, view old advertising, how it’s bottled and more.
Medieval Times Atlanta – Have a meal and enjoy a medieval knight show! I like this one just as much as my kids do!
Margaret Mitchell House – Any Gone With the Wind fan will love this house of the famous writer! Not only see her house but explore the transform from book to movie!
Inside CNN Studio Tour – See inside the studio of the famous CNN news station! You can get a behind the scenes tour of their morning show and more!
Zoo Atlanta – Experiance zoo shows, wild encounters, petting zoo, and my kid favorite Zoo’s Clues. Help Detective Clue Spotter the Otter crack the case with monthly mysteries geared toward 8 to 12-year-olds.
Six Flags over Georgia – Thrill Seeker? Just outside of Atlanta is Six Flags! Part Water park and part theme park this is something for everyone! With thrill rides like the Dahlonega Mine Train, Dare Devil Dive and the most famous wooden roller coaster the Georgia Cyclone.
Fernbank Science Center – This made our list solely for the Apollo 6 exhibit. We have a little space fanatic on our hands!
Fernbank Museum of Natural History – With a dinosaur fan in our clan we can’t get out of Atlanta without visiting the dino exhibit!
Southern Hollywood Film Tours – Tours areas from the show Drop Dead Diva, and movies like Joyful Noise and Sweet Home Alabama!
College Football Hall of Fame – Sports fan? My husband is a HUGE Ohio State Collage Football fan so this is a must see for us!
