I’m going to share how we have a birthday party in an RV while traveling full time. Another thing we had to reinvent is how to have a birthday party in an RV. Traveling full time doesn’t allow us to have many friends in whatever area we are in to have a big bash like we used.
How We Have a Birthday Party While Traveling Full-time in an RV
The first birthday(s) we had in our family were on October. My 1-year-old and 3-year-old have birthdays 10 days apart. So we did a joint party for them. I know as a mom I will not get away with doing this for many more years so I’m taking advantage of it while I can, but that another subject for another post!
We figured we would have to come up with something for birthdays so we let the birthday person pick something they wanted to do in the area we were in. Of course, my 1-year-old is so small to pick anything this year but my 3-year-old want to hit the Nashville Zoo and the Rainforest Cafe.
We did that on the day of her birthday since it fell on a weekday and then since we were close to hubby’s sister she actually came up for the party.
My 3-year-old picked a Sofia the First birthday so it was easy to birthday items.
We decorated the RV in the kitchen and the dining area.
We started the night off by going out to dinner with everyone instead of cramming them in the RV. Then we came home and did the typical opening of the presents.
And yes my girls are wearing crowns it was a princess party after all! After presents we had cake!
Of course, we had the traditional cake smashing in the face. The kids love it. We left the decorations up for a few days and of course, they thought the balloons were the best part! They took them all in their room and played with them until they popped!
